1956-2025

 

     Gary L. Schwab 69, of Keokuk passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

     He was born February 14, 1956 in Keokuk, IA the son of Albert C. and Mary L. Auge Schwab. Gary Graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1974.

     On November 7, 2004 he was united in marriage in Keokuk to Brenda Curry. She survives.

     Other survivors include one son, Brandon Hora of Keokuk and two brothers, Thomas Schwab (Sherry) of Waterloo, IL and Kenneth Schwab (Susan) of Wentzville, MO.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

     Gary was employed by Roquette America until his retirement in 2019.

     He was a member of the Elks Club along with various pool and bowling leagues. Gary was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs taking in every game he could. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and enjoyed a good game of washers.

     According to Gary’s wishes no services will be held.

Marilyn Jean Jones

     Marilyn Jean Jones, 81 of Keokuk, IA passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

     She was born February 16, 1944 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Thomas Henry and Pansy V. Howell Coop.  Marilyn graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1962.

     On August 19, 1962 Marilyn was united in marriage to Thomas Owen Houghton.  He preceded her in death on July 5, 1989.  She later married Ron L. Jones on May 5, 1990 in Keokuk.  He survives.

     Other survivors include three children, Kurt Thomas Houghton (Michelle) of Keokuk, Steven Clark Houghton of Burlington, IA and one daughter, Megan Jessica Mcmillan of Ottumwa, IA, several grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He is also survived by one brother, Edward Coop (Rosemary) of Florida.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and two brothers, Joe Coop and Richard Coop.

     Marilyn had been employed by Shaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA until her retirement.

     She was a faithful member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

     Marilyn had a special love for animals and enjoyed collecting dog statues. She loved a good game of Dominos and always played to win.  Marilyn had a zest for life and her laugh and smile were contagious.  She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, brightening many lives over the years.

     A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dave Barrett officiating.  

     Memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

     Marilyn Jean Jones, 81 of Keokuk, IA passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

Richard Lee "Dick" Ketcham

Richard Lee “Dick” Ketcham, 93, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Hickory Grove Supportive Living in Carthage, Illinois.

 

Richard was born May 6, 1932 in Burnside, Illinois, the son of Homer and Ida (Boyd) Ketcham. On June 6, 1953 he married Kathryn J. McBride at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Carthage. She preceded him in death April 27, 1995. On February 14, 1997 he married Marcella Hardy Reed at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City. She preceded him in death January 9, 2019. 

 

He is survived by six children: Steve Ketcham of Colchester, Illinois, Stephanie (Fred) Doyle of Warsaw, Illinois, Andrea (Vic) Schelin of Riverdale, Iowa, Janelle (Mehrdad) Yassan of Grand Prairie, Texas, Angela (Mike) Pollock of LaHarpe, and Robert (Heather) Ketcham of Streator, Illinois; one daughter-in-law: Kathy Ketcham of Danville, Iowa; one step-daughter: Jean (Noel) Carden of Dallas City, 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. 

 

Besides his wives, he was preceded in death by one son: James Ketcham; one grandson: Dustin Ketcham; one great-grandchild: Korbin Rogers; three sisters: Bonnie Martin, Betty Schiefedeker and Mary Harnetiaux; five brothers: Robert “Boyd”, Eugene, James, Keith and Kenneth Ketcham. 

 

Richard was a 1950 graduate of Carthage High School. Shortly after high school he began farming with his father in the Pilot Grove and Durham Townships until 1972. Following his farming career, he moved to LaHarpe and began working at General Electric in Burlington, Iowa, until his retirement in 1994. 

 

Mr. Ketcham was a member of the LaHarpe Lions Club, Knights of Colombus Alleman Council #1853, LaHarpe Senior Citizens, Burlington Moose Lodge #579 and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City. 

 

Banks & Beals Funeral Home of LaHarpe is assisting the family.

 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Carthage with Fr. Tony Trosley as Celebrant. Burial will be in LaHarpe Cemetery. 

 

A luncheon for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Carthage.

 

A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. July 1st at the church, followed by visitation with the family until time of services.

Lois Virginia Wagner

Lois Virginia Wagner

1936 -2025

 

     Lois Virginia Wagner, 89 of Keokuk, IA passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

     She was born June 6, 1936 in Warsaw, IL the daughter of Archie and Jenetta Finton.   Lois attended Warsaw High School in Warsaw, IL. 

     Lois was united in marriage to Donald Wagner at the United Methodist Church in Warsaw, they later divorced he preceded her in death. 

     She had been employed by Armour Dial/Conagra for twenty-five years and retired from there.

     Lois lived her life guided by her strong faith and a heart for serving others. She loved baking for family and friends, singing her favorite hymns, and staying involved in her community. She also had a deep and abiding respect for the American flag and all it represented, which she proudly honored throughout her life. She had a playful spirit and was an enthusiastic collector of Peanuts Gang comic memorabilia and a lot of other things.  Above all, Lois treasured her friendships and the moments spent in good conversation and shared laughter.

     She is survived by one daughter, Dianna (Stephen) Burden of Mount Union, IA, one son, Gary Wagner of Montrose, IA, grandchildren, Corliss Burden, Amber (Gary) Wagner and Skyler Stark, and one sister, Mary Jane Brown of Keokuk.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including, a special nephew, David Finton and a special niece, Betty Pederilla

     She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve siblings, Anna Skyles, Goldie Henkle, Albert Finton, Almon Finton, Lucy Coffman, Ruth Gabbert, Dorothy Stepp, Robert Finton, Norman Finton, Daniel Finton, Richard Finton and Marlene Finton.

     According to her wishes, Lois chose to donate her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program for education and research.

      A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Leonard Micheal “Mike” Woods

     Leonard Micheal “Mike” Woods, 83 of Keokuk, IA passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Ft. Madison, IA.

     He was born July 7, 1941 in Keokuk, IA the son of Harry E. and Lucy Irene Wardwell Woods.  He graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1959 and later from Del Mar Community College in Corpus Christi, TX and earned his Associates of Arts degree.

     On April 5, 1991 Mike was united in marriage to Dianna Burris in Keokuk.  She survives.

     Other survivors include one son, Scott Woods (Kelly) of Monmouth, IL, two daughters, Beth DeSchepper (Richard) of Altoona, IL and Jill Ferry of Victoria, IL and seven grandchildren, Taylor Woods, Tanner Woods, Megan Ferry, Mathew Ferry, Sarah DeSchepper, Emily DeSchepper and Andrew DeSchepper, several great-grandchildren, one step-son, Rome Burris, four step-grandsons and two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. 

     He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Vradenburg and one step-son, Tracy Burris.

     Mike had been employed at the Hoerner YMCA and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church both in Keokuk.

     He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf, baseball and NASCAR.

     According to his wishes, there will be no services.

     Joyce L. McLearn, 91 of Montrose passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, Iowa.

     She was born January 11, 1934 in Tipton, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Grace Achey Wehde. 

     Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon “Bud” McLearn and a sister in infancy, Darlene Wehde.

     Memorials may be made to Youth Activities Commission (checks payable to City of Montrose) or to Mediapolis Athletic Booster Club.

     As per her wishes, there will be no service and a private burial will be held at a later date.

Junior Bruns

Junior Bruns, 83, of Basco, passed away at 5:58 PM, Sunday, June 15,
2025, at The Arbors in Quincy.
Junior was born June 11, 1942, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Willie
George and Pauline Ruth (Leerhoff) Bruns. He graduated from Warsaw
High School. Junior was a lifelong farmer, a career he has loved since the
age of eight. His greatest love was for his wife of 62 years. He was united
in marriage to Kaye Lynn Bashor in August of 1962. Junior had also
served as the Bear Creek Road commissioner for many years.
Junior is survived by his wife, Kaye, of Basco; two sons, Rick (Patti) Bruns
of Camp Point and Rod (Chrissy Lewis) Bruns of Carthage; grandchildren,
Danielle (Kyle) Sethaler and Kaylee (Vance) Neastea; great grandchildren,
Kadence and Berkeley Sethaler; a brother, Keith (Connie) Bruns of
Carthage and a sister, Betty (John) Peters of Payson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy, Mary Lou;
and a brother, Paul Bruns.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 19 th , 2025, at
Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until
time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the
Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be
directed to Blessing Hospice or The Arbors in Quincy. Printy Funeral Home
of Carthage is in charge of services.

John Duane Massie

John Duane Massie, 93, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at 5:21 am at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 - 3 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025,
at the Lake Hill Winery in Carthage, IL. Memorials may be made to the
Carthage Fire Department or the First Presbyterian Church of Carthage, IL.

Jill D. Land

Jill D. Land, 81, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at
Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Jill was born February 2, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley
and Jessie (Jones) Van Ausdall. She attended Carthage High School,
graduating in 1962 and then went to receive her bachelor’s degree in
business administration. On February 13, 2000, she was united in marriage
to Lester Land in Warsaw. Jill had been active in the Cancer Society and
served as an advocate against domestic violence against women.
Jill is survived by her husband, Lester, of Warsaw; children, Wesley
(Danielle) Sansom of Tucson, Arizona, Sean Rose of Jacksonville, Illinois,
Dustin Masterson of Keokuk and Caleb Land of Hamilton; grandchildren,
Brittany and Logan, Kyle and Adyn and Lucas; and five great grandchildren
and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barb Masterson; and
a sister, Fern “Penny” Haage.
Family will meet friends from 9:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2025, at
Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in
Warsaw at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s

     Ron Lloyd Lawson, 69 of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his home. 

     He was born December 24, 1955 in Keokuk, IA the son of Lloyd Leland Lawson and Eudora Mae Thompson Mecum Lawson.

     Ron was united in marriage to Sue Ann Daggs on June 28, 1975.

     He was survived by his wife, Sue, his son, Ron Lloyd Lawson, II (Selena) of Keokuk, IA, his daughter, Alyssa A. Lawson of Keokuk, IA, sister, Ruth L. Lawson of Ft. Madison, IA, grandson, Alexander J. Lawson of Keokuk, IA, grandson, Gavin R. Keefe of Keokuk, IA, granddaughter, Leddia M. Tallman of Lansing, IA, nephew, John (Johnny) E. Mecum of Ft.      He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Candina L. Lawson, brothers, John (Jack) E. Mecum and Joe V. Mecum, sister, Marcia A. Lawson, nephews, Joseph V. Vaughan and Jimmy E. Mecum.

     During his younger years, Ron had the opportunity to stay with his uncle and cousins in Alton, IL and his older brother in San Jose, CA and attended schools in both locations.  He cherished those times and learned a lot.  Ron joined the Navy at 17 on the buddy plan with his good friend Bob Hall and traveled the seas to different ports around the world, stationed in San Diego, CA and the Great Lakes.  He learned to be a boilermaker, pipe fitter and electrician while in the service.   He worked mainly as an electrician when he got out, working for various companies.  For one company he worked for, he traveled around some states, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, New York, Indiana and Florida, wiring motels, stores, hospitals and even private homes.  He took pride in his abilities and workmanship and was able to work with his son, teaching him the knowledge and skills to carry on the trade.  Ron’s dad was an electrician by trade also.

    Ron lived in the country most of his adult life and loved it.  He enjoyed the wide open skies and loved looking at the stars at night.  He liked to walk the creek beds and around the river looking for unusual rocks and arrowheads.  He once made a beautiful rock garden with unique and unusual rocks in memory of his daughter.  He loved fishing, riding horses, kayaking, mushroom hunting, raising chickens, mowing and tinkering with things, making old things look new again and then giving them away.  He liked to look at his horoscope every day and would text his wife and daughter their horoscope for amusement and to see how events of the day matched up.  He also loved watching movies and had a huge movie collection.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially doing projects with his young grandson.

     A graveside service with military rites will be held at noon 12 p.m., Friday at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk.

Donald LeWayne Totsch

Donald LeWayne Totsch, 88, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on
Sunday, June 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born on July 14, 1936, in Bowen, Illinois, the son of Christopher and Irene
(Meints) Totsch. He graduated from Bowen High School in 1954, where he was a proud
member of the Bowen Bulldogs basketball team that advanced to the Sweet 16 in the
state tournament.
On April 5, 1959, he married the love of his life, Esther Johnson. Together they shared
66 wonderful years of marriage. She survives.
Donald spent most of his life working in construction and farming until he retired in
2003. A skilled mason and carpenter, he and Esther built five homes in the Carthage
area. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Carthage. 
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Donald was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and
Steelers. His greatest joy came from watching his children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren play sports, and he especially loved listening to his daughter Debbie’s
church choir.
Donald is survived by his wife, Esther Totsch of Carthage, IL; his children, Debbie (Alan)
Housewright of Carthage, IL, Rhonda (Brian) Hibbard of Carthage, IL, Theresa (Scott)
McGaughey of Carthage, IL, and Bryan (Cathy) Totsch, all of Carthage, IL; his
grandchildren, Brandon (Ashlyn) Housewright, Jeremy (Alison) Housewright, Danielle
(Grant) Surprenant, Chris (Kelsey) Hibbard, Lauren (Justin) Ellison, Evan (Kara)
McGaughey, Austen Totsch, and Morgan (Detrich) Totemeier; and his great-
grandchildren, Barett, Brant, Brooks, Emmett, Mya, Elliotte, Kannon, Kenzey, Clayton,
Carter, Keegan, Myla, and one on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Maxine
Williamson, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Oscar Gardner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at Immanuel Lutheran
Church, with burial to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from
4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at Printy Funeral Home, with the family
greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carthage Park District, or
Hancock County Special Olympics.

Terry "Corky" Lynn Symmonds

Terry “Corky” Lynn Symmonds, 75, of Hamilton, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 5,
2025, at Wesley Village in Macomb, IL.
Corky was born on March 24, 1950, at home in Warsaw, IL. He was the son of Bill and
Shirley (Hasten) Symmonds. On April 27, 2002, Corky was united in marriage to Donna
Wood at the First Christian Church in Hamilton. Corky took on many endeavors in his
life. He spent time working on motorcycles until he owned his own motorcycle repair
shop, Symmonds Cycles. He also worked with his dad at Symmonds Junkyard and
drove a truck for some time. Ultimately, he ended up at Keokuk Steel Castings where he
worked for many years until he retired. Corky had a love for everything, Harley
Davidson. He collected any memorabilia he could get his hands on, and he knew every
model. You could always find Corky tinkering in his garage, and he even taught himself
how to weld. Corky was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Hamilton,
where he held several positions, including Deacon throughout his life.
Corky is survived by his wife, Donna Symmonds of Hamilton, IL; his children, Lois
Symmonds of Keokuk, IA, Terry (Amanda) Symmonds of Keokuk, IA, Amber
Symmonds (Shawn Turnbull) of Ft. Madison, IA, and Pam (Matt) Garlick of Macomb, IL;
his grandchildren, Travis, Michael, Dalton, Joseph, Jennifer, Terry Jo, Krysta, Reiburn,
Reilynn, and Cassady; his sisters, Lydia Kemper and Violet Steele; his step-mother,
Joyce Symmonds of AZ, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jim Symmonds, and his brother-in-
law, Bill Kemper.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Printy Funeral
Home in Hamilton, IL. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10 am.
Memorials may be made out to the family. Printy Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.

John R. "Hap" McMahan

John R. “Hap” McMahan, 92, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday morning, May 31 st , 2025,
peacefully at home.
He was born November 20th, 1932, in Keokuk, Iowa, the middle sibling of John B. and Frances
G. Humphry McMahan.
John graduated from Hamilton High School where he was the President of his class of 1950.
Soon after, Hap married his High School sweetheart Marilyn J. Wollbrink on September 2 nd ,
1951. John and Marilyn were blessed with three children, Susan, Mark and Jon Michael. John
and Marilyn had many blessings along their journey with 70 years of marriage. They were both
lifelong members of the United Methodist Church in Hamilton, Illinois.
John enlisted into the Army at 21 years old on February 6 th , 1953. After finishing Boot Camp
and Army Technical Skills Training, he was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama as a Smoke
Generator Mechanic with the 62 nd Chemical Material Logistics Company. Marilyn was not
staying away from her beau, so she anxiously joined him in Alabama. Within days of arriving in
Fort McClellan, Hap would be quickly challenged to use his needed skills to support his fellow
soldiers. He entered the latter end of the Korean War where he would be awarded the
National Defense Service Medal. On February 4, 1955, John separated from the Armed Forces
of the United States with Honors, but remained part of the Army Reserve to complete 8 years
of service.
Separated from the Army, John and Marilyn left their military life and returned to Hamilton.
John soon began working for Hubingers in Keokuk and with his older brother Jim, “J.R.”, who
owned McMahan Construction. In 1978, John began working in the maintenance division for
the Hamilton School District. He loved his work at the school, but mostly because of being
around children of all ages and watching them grow up. This quickly became Hap’s calling as he
found his real passion, and became one of the school district’s favorite bus drivers. Hap also
loved sports, so there was nothing better than being at the head of getting Hamilton Cardinal
student athletes to their games.
He loved his family with all his heart. John and Marilyn’s children, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren were their pride and joy. He very much enjoyed attending their activities along
with catching their ball games even after a long day’s work. John had multiple talents and
hobbies, but was best known for creating some of the most beautiful stained glass art during
winter months, and when summer arrived, he would be up at the crack of dawn attending to
his pristine yard, rose garden, and beautiful flowers.

John is survived by his sons, Mark R. (Tracy) McMahan and their children, Jadelyn and Annalise
of Montevideo, Minnesota; Jon Michael (Lisa) McMahan and their children, Connor and Brooke
of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren Jennifer (Gregg) Blickhan and their children, Madison and
Joey Cooper of Loraine, Illinois; Josh (Leann) Svejda and their children, Jonah and Levi of
Keokuk, Iowa; Jason (Kristen) Svejda and their children, Bennett and Autumn of Sperry, Iowa;
and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn J. Wollbrink; daughter, Susan K.
Svejda; brother, James R. “J.R.” MMcMahan; sister Mary Jo Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm (Noon) on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Printy Funeral
Home in Hamilton, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be
held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am to 12 pm directly before the service.
Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church of Hamilton.

Maxine LaBonte

Maxine LaBonte, 81, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on
Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West
Burlington, Iowa.
Maxine was born on June 8, 1943, in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel
(Mathes) LaBonte. She graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1961 and went to work
at Sheafer Pen in 1963. She continued her employment there until her retirement on
June 30, 2003. She was a member of West Burlington Christian Church, and served as
a caregiver to people in the area. She enjoyed going to the casino and once won
$3,500.
Maxine is survived by two brothers: Carroll LaBonte (Mary Kay Woolson) and Rod
(Barb) LaBonte, both of Warsaw, and several nieces, nieces and nephews.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John and Terry.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Printy
Funeral Home in Warsaw. A private family burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in
Warsaw. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Printy Funeral Home
directly before the service.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Bethany Jinkens

1974-2025

 

     Bethany Jinkens, 50, of Clarksville, MO passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, MO.

     She was born July 5, 1974 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Estin and Carol Branson Jinkens.  She graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1992.

     Bethany was baptized at New Testament Christian Church and attended the Wayland Baptist Church alongside her beloved grandmother, Mary Jinkens.   

     Bethany had a vibrant personality and a sharp, playful sense of humor. She was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and ornery streak that kept everyone on their toes. Whether it was a perfectly timed joke, a funny meme, or a mischievous prank, Bethany had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease in her presence.

     She enjoyed playing computer games and could spend hours immersed in her favorite virtual world. A lifelong fan of country music, she enjoyed listening to her favorite artists and especially loved attending concerts, where she felt most alive surrounded by music and people. Bethany also collected Mickey Mouse memorabilia.  More than anything, Bethany cherished time spent with her family, especially with her nieces.

     She is survived by her mother, Carol Picton (Craig) of  Keokuk, two sisters, Jeri Roby (Shaun) of Pryor, Oklahoma, Shiloh Jinkens of Hamilton, two brothers, Russell Jinkens (Jamie) of Ursa, and Steven Picton of Keokuk and nieces, Caitlin Allen (Taylor), Wednesday Hughes (Austin), Kloey Eggers, Jasmine Cochran, Michelle Cochran, Dayton Cochran,  and Kaley Jinkens.  She is also survived by her fiancé, David Street of Clarksville, MO and his son Jorrdon Street (Mandy) and their children, Bradly and Wyatt, along with Pops and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Estin Jinkens, maternal and paternal grandparents, four uncles, three aunts, a niece and three cousins.

      The family of Bethany would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Pike County Home Health Hospice and to the staff at Pike County Memorial Hospital for the love and care they gave to Bethany. 

     A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating.  Burial will be in the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville.

     Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service with the family meeting with friends at that time.

     Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
