Corky was born on March 24, 1950, at home in Warsaw, IL. He was the son of Bill and
Shirley (Hasten) Symmonds. On April 27, 2002, Corky was united in marriage to Donna
Wood at the First Christian Church in Hamilton. Corky took on many endeavors in his
life. He spent time working on motorcycles until he owned his own motorcycle repair
shop, Symmonds Cycles. He also worked with his dad at Symmonds Junkyard and
drove a truck for some time. Ultimately, he ended up at Keokuk Steel Castings where he
worked for many years until he retired. Corky had a love for everything, Harley
Davidson. He collected any memorabilia he could get his hands on, and he knew every

how to weld. Corky was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Hamilton,
where he held several positions, including Deacon throughout his life.
