Roy Clark Walton Jr.
Roy Clark Walton Jr., 79, of Carthage, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 19, 2026, near
Alexandria, Missouri.
He was born December 7, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Roy Clark Walton Sr. and Alvena
Klingler. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972, spending most of that time in
Germany.
On November 19, 2005, Roy married Cinda Bohrer in Peoria, Arizona, and she
survives. He worked as a truck driver and also helped with farming during planting and
harvest. Rodney said Roy especially enjoyed running the large combine. He collected
farm equipment toys, loved his cats, and treasured time with his Carthage Senior High
School Class of 1964 friends. He often spoke of class dinners and the good times they
shared at restaurants around Carthage. In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing and
watching TV.
Survivors include his wife, Cinda Walton; sons Rodney Walton and Roy Clark Walton III;
daughter Katrina Burch; stepson Rick Selbach; stepdaughters Julie Selbach, Christy
Taylor, and Debbie Riches; grandchildren Cassandra Watts, Michael Walton, Preston
Walton, Sara Wynn, Ava Walton, Gracie Walton, Noah Walton, Taylor Selbach, Morgan
Selbach, McKenna Selbach, Kaeleigh Taylor, and Alexander Hessler; and great-
grandchildren Madison Britt, Eli Shallcross, Kaden Shallcross, Brailynn Walton, Dreydon
Clark, Ebony Watts, and Misty Watts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Rodney Walton will notify family and
classmates when arrangements are complete. Those wishing to attend may contact
