Sheriff Travis Duffy reports a June 4, 2023, traffic stop led to an arrest for possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver. 

 

On June 4, 2023 at approximately 10:50 PM a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2019 blue Ford F-150 on Illinois 336 near County Road 1350 North for erratic driving and lane violations. 

 

After further investigation, the driver, Vicky L. Brummett, 65 of Harvard, IL, was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs. A vehicle search revealed over 200 individual baggies containing a substance that field tested positive for heroin. Brummett was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver as well. 

 

Brummett was transported to the Hancock County Jail to await an initial court appearance. 

 

All arrested persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
