Carthage, IL – Tuesday, September 14, 2021 – Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics are pleased to introduce Katie Ruebush, PT, DPT, to their team. Katie specializes in pelvic floor therapy and treats a variety of women's health needs. She sees patients at Memorial Medical Clinic's 630 Locust Street location in Carthage, Illinois.
Ruebush is a Bushnell, Illinois native. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with a double major in Exercise Science and Human Performance and Fitness and a minor in Biology. She went on to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, completing clinical rotations at Rush Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis. After completing a women's health clinical at Rush Hospital and participating in a women's health focus study under a women's health board-certified physical therapist and professor at Washington University, Ruebush began specializing in pelvic floor therapy in 2013. She now treats patients with pelvic floor needs while also treating a variety of other conditions, including conditions relating to urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, constipation and bowel issues, and pregnancy and postpartum needs. Ruebush is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.
