Shawna Dawn Marzahl

Shawna Dawn Marzahl, born on November 25, 1970, in Quincy, Illinois, was the cherished
daughter of Richard and Donna Neill of Warsaw, Illinois, and Carla (Richard) Browning of St.
Louis, Missouri. Shawna's radiant spirit illuminated the lives of those around her, leaving an
indelible mark of warmth and kindness. Sadly, she departed this world on May 01, 2024, in
Bethlehem, NY, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured.
Shawna shared 12 wonderful years with her beloved husband Dennis, enjoying golf, cheering
on the Buffalo Bills, attending concerts, and eagerly anticipating their retirement together.
Her heart overflowed with love for her family, whom she nurtured as a maternal figure to her
four siblings before embracing motherhood herself. Shawna's proudest moments revolved
around her children and the joyous arrival of her granddaughter, Olivia Dawn, two and a half
years ago. Though she gracefully accepted the impossibility of keeping pace with her lively
siblings, Shawna's vibrant spirit and infectious humor brightened the lives of those fortunate
enough to know her.
A proud graduate of the Class of 1989 at Warsaw High School in Illinois, Shawna also earned her
degree in Secretarial Sciences from Southeastern Community College in Keokuk, Iowa.
Professionally, Shawna exemplified dedication and integrity as the Service Coordinator for Kone
Elevator, a role she passionately fulfilled since 2022. Her absence will be deeply felt, as her
enthusiasm and honesty were integral to her professional demeanor. Prior to her tenure at
Kone, Shawna made lasting contributions to OTIS Elevator, leaving an enduring impact on her
colleagues.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Shawna found joy in travel, passionately supported the
Buffalo Bills, admired Caitlin Clark's prowess on the court, and all the moments on the golf
course. Yet, above all, Shawna treasured the company of her beloved family, near and far.
Left to honor and preserve Shawna's memory are her devoted husband, Dennis Marzahl; her
cherished children, Victoria Dawn Calhoun and Daniel Mark Hufendick; her adored
granddaughter, Olivia Dawn Calhoun; her loving parents, Richard and Donna Neill, and Carla
(Richard) Browning; her siblings, Karrie (Crispin) Anderson of Urbandale, Iowa, Stephanie
(Mark) Cress of Troy, Missouri, Kassie (Marion) Casey of Warsaw, Illinois, Tim (Stephanie) Neill
of Hamilton, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Mackenzie (Daniel) Sample, Alora and Oriana
Casey, Kellen Anderson, Jensen Neill and Ridge and Kanyon Casey; her grandparents, John and
Geraldine Neill of West Point, Illinois; her uncles and aunts, Jerry (Barb) Neill, Christine (Robin)
Robbins, Carol Shoopman, Eldon (Holly) Neill, Peggy Neill, Carolyn Northrup, Greg Fuller, Larry

Wilson, Lyndle (Glenda) Wedding, Kathy Peters; and numerous cousins and extended family
who mourn her deeply.
Shawna now joins her father and mother-in-law, Claus and Ursula Marzahl, grandparents, Tom
and Lela Wedding, Roger and Ruby Mulch, her Aunt Kathleen Fuller, and her Uncle Jim Neill
amongst others who are truly missed in eternal peace.

Tampa, Florida – Robert “Bob” Bernard Dickey died peacefully May 13, 2024, with family by his
side.
He was born April 12, 1928, in Keokuk, Iowa to Raymond Bernard Dickey and Winifred ‘Winnie’
Evelyn Fiedler Dickey.
He is survived by four children, Lynne Elizabeth Dickey (Mike Polacek), Jill Ann Dickey (Michael
Gollin), Robin Bernard Dickey (Susan) and Rachel Erin Besancon (J. Adrian Besancon); and
nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bernice “Peggy” Dickey (nee Inman), his
parents, and two siblings, Philip, and Nancy.
Bob attended Keokuk High School. He was president of the Phi-Chem Club, sang in mixed
chorus and joined Torch Club. He was also a member of the Hi-Y Club, which staged debates
for local business and service organizations. He joined the Junior Reserve Officers Training
Corps (ROTC). He and his sweetheart, Peggy Inman, graduated with the class of 1946.
Bob and Peggy attended the University of Iowa. Peggy became the top student in home
economics, while Bob studied economics of the broader world. They graduated in May of 1950
and were married in a service at the First Baptist Church of Keokuk December 27, 1950.
Bob attended the University of Iowa Law School and received his JD in 1952. He joined the US
Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a lieutenant junior grade. He and Peggy moved
to Salina, Kansas, where he alternately defended airmen and prosecuted courts-martial.
The family soon returned to Keokuk and Bob joined the Smith law firm, which later became
Smith, Dickey, and Smith.
Bob designed and built —mostly with his own hands—a three-bedroom ranch house
overlooking the Mississippi. In 1958 he ran for and was elected County Attorney of Lee County,
a position he held through successive elections for 16 years.
Amid campaigning and family camping trips, Bob also found time for raising English Setters,
hunting, fishing, woodworking, bridge, chess, and painting.
In the early 60s, Bob built a cabin cruiser, the “Peanut” with which to explore the Mississippi. He
and Peggy made their first trip to Europe in 1962. An avid reader and consumer of world news,
poetry, and folk music, Bob taught himself to play the guitar and sing folk songs. In the early
70s, he laid down his hunting rifle and took up tennis. It became Bob’s next passion, a social
game that fostered many lifelong friendships.
Bob helped with the campaign to restore the Grand Theater, served on the board of The Keokuk
Savings Bank and the Keokuk Country Club.
He wrote a novel, My Ladder’s Gone, drawing from his experiences as a young prosecutor and
his relationship with Lee County’s colorful sheriff, Harold “Toots” Delahoyde. A Renaissance
man, Bob passed on tennis, art, writing and critical thinking skills to his children and
grandchildren, along with a love of the great outdoors and travel.

When Bob retired, he and Peggy were snowbirds, then moved permanently to Siesta Key, FL.
They had many happy years there socializing at tennis and sunsets.
Peggy passed away in 2015. She and Bob had been together for more than 70 years. Bob

T. Elvin Wollbrink

T. Elvin Wollbrink 85 of Quincy, formerly of Tioga, passed away May 16, 2024 after his
battle with cancer. This is basically the second time he died though. February 14, 2022 he
decided to shop for ice-cream and collapsed in the store. After store manager and EMT’s
revived him, he recalled seeing only darkness which prompted him to dig deeper into life
after death. He became a believer in Jesus, and we know he is with him now. Not everyone
gets that second chance.
Elvin was born November 16, 1938, in rural Hancock County and was the 5 th child of 6 to
Marvin and Louise Wollbrink. He married Sue (Dudley) Wollbrink Aug. 18, 1956 and they
spent 61 years together until her death in 2017. He was a tender caregiver to Sue for the
last years of her life and an incredible example of compassion and dedication.
As a young father Elvin worked hard, sometimes working more than one job to provide for
his growing family so his wife could stay home and raise their four children who in turn
learned by his example.
Being a jack of all trades helped him save several pennies fixing things around the house,
farm, and rental properties. His winnings at the “boat” also added to his funds that he was
willing to share with those in need of financial assistance.
Elvin left a legacy in his surviving children: Bryce (Donna Renoad), Brian (Lynda) & Lyle
(Chris), 6 grandchildren: Nicole Wofford, Jennifer (Kevin) Bolin, Ashley Harness, Crystal
(Matt) Clark, Dale Wollbrink, & Torie (Ryan) Perry, and 9 great grandchildren: Jaden
Harness, Alexis Wofford, Jacob & Savannah Bolin, Elliot, Garret, Scarlet, Bennet Clark, &
Reagan Wollbrink. He is also survived by 1 brother Meb (Judith) Wollbrink, a very dear
friend Velma Brackensick & a special little friend August who called him “Pa Pa”.
Throughout his 85 years he mourned the loss of his parents, wife, 4 siblings- Ronnie, Dale,
Leland & Leona (Onie) Crouch, daughter Lisa (Bobby) Ellis, and 2 grandchildren- Jenessa
and Carl.
The family wishes to extend many thanks to the Blessing Hospice team that professionally
and tenderly took care of Elvin during his last several months. What a blessing the staff and
volunteers have been and in lieu of flowers we would like to direct any memorials for Elvin
to this service for the many people they are still caring for.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Printy Funeral Home
in Warsaw with burial to follow in the Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery in Tioga.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at Printy Funeral Home
