Judy Raye (Sackman) Muegge passed away on May 5, 2024, at her home in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, where she had lived for five years. She was born October 22, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa to George E. and Lavera L. (Collier) Sackman, Sr. She married Wayne E. "Bud" Muegge on August 15, 1959. Judy and Bud were married 52 years before his passing in 2012. Together, they owned and operated Floyd Muegge Used Cars and Auto Salvage in Hamilton, Illinois, for many years.
Judy is survived by daughters Laura J. (Dave) LaKose of Hamilton and Lanida J. "Launa" (Gary) Morgan of Lindenhurst, Illinois; Grandaughters Angela D. (Aaron) Blue of El Campo, Texas, Kim (Jared) Dray of Warsaw, Danni (Royce) Pullins of Warsaw, Miranda R. Mayhill of New Kent, Virginia; Grandson Andrew D. Carter of Germantown, Wisconsin; and step-grandson Tanner L. (Brittany) Morgan of Kenosha, Wisconsin;
Great-Granddaughters Zoe Dray, Jessica Pullins, Riley Pullins, and Sydney Pullins all of Warsaw, and Great- Grandson Harrison C. Mayhill of New Kent, Virginia. Judy is also survived by her sister Julia Mayes of Keokuk and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Bud; parents George and LaVera Sackman Sr.; Brother George Sackman Jr. and his wife Joyce; Sister Joann Printy; and Sister Jeaneane Kite and her husband Jerry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2024 and the funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 13 at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral home in Keokuk. Services will be conducted by Pastor David Turner .
