Joyce M. Wollbrink

Joyce M. Wollbrink, 92, of Sutter, passed away at 11:30 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.
Joyce was born February 17, 1934, the daughter of Edgar and Gertrude (Burgtorf) Waechter in Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School.
On March 15, 1958, she was united in marriage to Norman Elmer Wollbrink at Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy. He preceded her in death in  2023. Joyce was a longtime member of the Get Together Club and Great  River Ski Club. She was an active member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Sutter, teaching Sunday School and serving in the Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed cross-stitch and made baby quilts for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Joyce’s health was very important to her and she walked up to two miles a day until her mid 80’s.
Joyce is survived by her children, Bruce (Cyndy) Wollbrink of Sutter, Brad (Brenda) Wollbrink of Quincy, Kevin (Mindy) Wollbrink of Sutter and Kirk Wollbrink of Tioga; grandchildren, Joshua (Taylor) Wollbrink, Brandon Wollbrink, Jacob (Malea) Wollbrink, David (Melissa) Wollbrink, Hannah
(Luke) Muegge and Justin Hainline; great grandchildren, Cooper and Sophie Wollbrink, Addison and Emma Wollbrink, Reece and Owen Muegge, and Sylas Shake; a brother-n-law, Keith Grunden; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; sisters. Betty Waechter and Shirley Grunden; brother and sisters-in-law, Clarence (Ruth and Velma) Wollbrink and brother-in-law, Herbert Wollbrink.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 2, 2026, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Sutter. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the church. Burial will be in the Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery following the funeral service.
