Edward Robert Newman

Edward Robert Newman, 82, of Carthage, passed away Saturday, August
29, 2026, at 1:28 PM at the Macomb Post Acute Care Center.
Edward was born on September 1, 1943, the son of Carl H. and Ruth (Habben) Newman in Keokuk, Iowa. In his younger years Ed farmed with his father. In 1984 Ed started his lawn care and snow removal business.
He was active with the business until the last two years when health issues limited his activity. Ed was well-known and highly regarded for his perseverance and strong work ethic.
Ed is survived by his siblings, Andy Newman of Macomb; Tom (Peggy) Newman of Carthage and Jean (Pete) LeBlond of Libertyville, Illinois; and two nephews, Jonathan and Daniel LeBlond.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday evening, September 7, 2026, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Private family burial will be held in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is
in charge of arrangements.
