Leona M. Good, 77
Health Center in Montrose, Iowa, surrounded by the people that loved her.
Leona was born on June 4, 1949, in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and
Mamie (Prostman) Ellefritz. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1969. On
February 14, 2002, she was united in marriage to Everett LaVerne Good, he survives.
Leona was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk and enjoyed
spending time mowing (especially at the YMCA) and being outdoors. She had a heart of
gold, a generous spirit and always spoke her mind. Leona was a friend to all and never
met a stranger.
Leona is survived by her husband Everett LaVerne Good of Keokuk; her son William L.
Walker, Jr.; two grandsons: Scott Alan Walker and Damon Walker; and many other
family members.
Leona is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Alice Craig.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm (Noon) on Monday, July 27, 2026, at DeJong-
Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk, with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in rural
Keokuk. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) on Monday at the funeral
home directly before the service.
