Massud Kayvan
Massud Kayvan, 80, of Hamilton, passed away at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 13, 2026, at his
home.
Massud was born Massud Keyvanshokouhi on December 27, 1945, in Tehran, Iran, the son
of Mo and Saba Keyvanshokouhi. He moved to the United States at eighteen to go to
college. He attended Southeastern Community College in Keokuk where he met his wife,
Diana Monroe. From that union one son was born, Michael. He later married Dauna
Ashworth and from that union a son, Ryan, was born. From another relationship, a
daughter, Brooke Froman, was born. Massud worked in the lab at Hubingers in Keokuk for
a short time and then spent 27 years at Amour-Dial in Fort Madison as a supervisor.
Mousey was a ladies’ man and loved all sports, especially boxing. He was a soccer goalie
in Iran and served as a YMCA soccer coach, first coaching his son Ryan and later his
granddaughter, Morgan. In his later years, Massud was well known for riding his bike in
Hamilton and mushroom hunting in the surrounding area.
Massud is survived by his two sons, Michael Kayvan of Hamilton and Ryan, wife Bree
Kayvan of Winter Springs, Florida; his daughter, Brooke Froman; four granddaughters,
Morgan, Zoe, Paige (Lori Miller) and Chloe; great granddaughters Sloan, Saige, two sisters,
Nini and Yasi of New Jersey; brother, Saied, of Paris, France, nieces Saba, Sara, and
Sophia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton from 12:00 – 1:30 PM Saturday,
April 18, 2026. Private graveside services will be held later. Printy Funeral Home of
Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
