George G. Bob, Jr.

George G. Bob, Jr., 85, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026,
at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison, Iowa.
George was born on July 18, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George, Sr. and Marie
(Heiberger) Bob. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago and went on to
receive his degree from Illinois Tech in Chicago. George went on to teach drafting and
math at Weber High School for forty years until his retirement. On July 22, 2023, he was
united in marriage to Otis Thompson in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He survives. George
was a member of the Illinois Drafting Educators and enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles,
reading, traveling and gardening.
George is survived by his husband Otis Thompson of Warsaw and is preceded in death
by his parents.
According to his wishes, no services will be held.
