Bonnie L. Fugate, 89, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Silver
Maple Care Center in Carthage.
Bonnie was born June 27, 1936, the daughter of Raymond Jack and Eva
Eileen (Blythe) Cecil in Ferris, Illinois. On October 24, 1953, she was
united in marriage to Howard Fugate in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded
her in death. Bonnie had worked as a pharmacist assistant at Hobby’s and
Scott’s Pharmacies in LaHarpe. She also worked as a CNA for many years
retiring in October of 2007. Bonnie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She
was of the Christian faith.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Kevin Dale (Linda) Fugate of
Russellville, Arkansas, Debra Jeniece Forquer of Carthage, Kendall Wade
Fugate of Burlington and Rochelle Deann Powelson of Washington state;
many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren; a sister, Rosie Stinemates of Florida; and a brother, Charles
Cecil of Stronghurst.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; a son,
Rodney; daughter, Robin; and a sister Carol Gilbert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday evening, January 25.
2026, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Burial will be in the Fugate
Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri at a later date. Printy Funeral Home of
Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
