Kenneth J. “Kenny” Massey, 68, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January
17, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Kenny was born on June 10, 1957, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Junior Lee and Flossie
Marie (Howe) Massey. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1975. He was united
in marriage to Debra Lynn Morgan in Keokuk, Iowa, on May 16, 1998. She survives.
Kenneth was employed at AutoZone delivering auto parts and enjoyed his job. He was
a coach at Hamilton High School for the fishing team. All the students respected Coach
Massey. He was also a BASS LEADER with tournaments for several years. He loved
fishing. Kenny loved people, especially his grandchildren.
Kenny is survived by his wife Debra Massey of Hamilton; five children: Mindy Massey
(Nathan Sornson) of Grimes, Iowa, Gene (Ginnie) Eisenbach of Keokuk, Tiffany
(Shawn) Elder of Calera, Oklahoma, Jessica (Chance) Harl of Hampton, Illinois, and
Justin (Christine) Morgan of Statesville, North Carolina; ten grandchildren: Emma, Evan,
Eric, Evelyn, Abigail, Liam, Landen, Haley, Ellie and Anna; four siblings: Nancy Bowden,
Tim (Trudy) Massey, Terry (Lisa) Massey, and Glena (Charlie) Freyling; and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy Selvog.
Loving husband, father and PAPA, we will love you always and miss you forever! Your
presence we miss, your memories we treasure. Loving you always, forgetting you
never.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm (Noon) on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at
Hamilton Faith Assembly of God in Hamilton, Illinois, with burial to follow at Oakwood
Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon)
on Saturday, January 24, directly before the service. Everyone is invited to wear their
favorite St. Louis Cardinals apparel in memory of Kenny.
