Richard Lee Gustin

Richard Lee Gustin, 58, passed away peacefully in his home in the early morning hours
of Saturday, November 29th, 2025, surrounded by his family. 
Born on December 5th, 1966 in Fort Madison, Iowa to parents Larry and Mary Gustin,
Richard grew up in Nauvoo, Illinois with his older brother Robert. He graduated from
Nauvoo-Colusa High School in 1985. 
Throughout his life, Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman, WWII documentary-watcher,
and Miller High Life-enjoyer. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He
spent his early career years as a commercial painter and later as a BNSF railroad
engineer. Richard married his beloved wife Angel in 1989. They spent 36 wonderful
years together and had two children, Kaitlin and Chance.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Larry and his grandparents Ena Mae and
Harry “Gus” Gustin. He is survived by his wife Angel, children Katie (Kwade Bawden)
and Chance Gustin, his brother Robert (Stephanie) Gustin, brother-in-law Joe Terrill,
nieces Jennifer See, Amanda Fie, Paige Ross and Lauren Heaps, nephews Alex Gustin
and Blake Terrill, as well as many great nieces and nephews. 
Memorial services will be made at a later date.
