Kathern Ann “Katy” Lunt

Kathern Ann “Katy” Lunt, 81, of Quincy, passed away at her home at
10:57 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Katy was born July 25, 1944, the daughter of Oliver and Annabelle
(Shay) Swisher, Jr. in Carthage, Illinois. She graduated from Bowen High
School in 1962 and later received her LPN degree from Hannibal
Vocational School of Practical Nursing. Katy was united in marriage to
Larry Lunt June 22, 1963, at the West Point, Illinois Methodist Church.
He survives. She worked as an LPN for 31 years, retiring in 2012. Katy
was a faithful member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy,
Illinois.
Katy is survived by her husband, Larry, of Quincy; her son, David
(Sharon) Lunt of Quincy, Illinois; daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Vermeire,
of Branson, Missouri and Deborah “Debbie” (Johnny) Dame of
Kirbyville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a
sister, Char Swisher of Branson, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Brenda.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025,
at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy. Family will meet
friends from 9:30 AM until time of services at 10:30 AM at the church.
