Peggy Lee Azinger

Peggy Lee Azinger 

Peggy Lee Azinger, 74, of Keokuk, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home in Keokuk.

 

Peggy was born on March 29, 1951, in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Acker) Neally. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1969, and went on to work at Keokuk Area Hospital in Medical Records from 1981 to 2011, when she retired. On February 11, 1994, she was united in marriage to Damon Azinger in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives.

 

Peggy was a collector, especially for anything Pyrex. She enjoyed antiquing and attending garage sales with her husband, and even had her own online antique store, Peggy’s Pretties. Family was important to Peggy, especially her grandchildren. She also loved taking her dogs Loki and Ellie on drives.

 

Peggy is survived by her husband Damon Azinger of Keokuk; three sons: Brady (Wendy) Jones of Faribault, Minnesota, Gentry (Carrie) Jones of Keokuk, and Andy (Angela) Jones of Keokuk; her mother Marjorie Neally of Keokuk; her sister Marilyn (Jerry) Thompson of Carthage; her brother Jim (Brenda) Neally of Keokuk; eight grandchildren: Benjamin (Leah) Jones, Daniel Jones, Claire Jones, Emily (Justin) Edwards, Jacob Jones, Jackson (Hannah) Jones, Dylan Jones (Fiancé Madison), and Dalton Jones; two great-grandchildren: Ivy and Lainey; a great-granddaughter due in November; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Peggy is preceded in death by her father James, her infant brother John David Trone, and her nephew Jerry Thompson, Jr.

 

According to her wishes, no services will be held.

 

Memorials in Peggy’s memory may be directed to Keokuk Animal Services.
