Jackie Lee “Jack” Agnew
Jackie Lee “Jack” Agnew, 79, of Hamilton, passed away at his brother's
home in Carthage at 4:30 AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Jack was born May 27, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of August Arold
“Buck” and Louise Maria (Cook) Agnew. He graduated from Hamilton High
School in 1964. He went on to pass his civil service test and was a
dedicated mail carrier for the Hamilton Post Office retiring after 25 years of
service. He then went on to drive trucks for Keokuk businesses and served
as a security officer for Roquette. Jack married Pamela Ann Yakle on May
1, 1976, at the First Christian Church in Hamilton and they had one son,
Clinton. Pam preceded him in death in 2011 and Clinton in 2004.
Jack is survived by his granddaughter, Kelsey Rodriguez of Iowa City;
siblings, Rosalie (Raymond) Bruns of Labelle, Missouri, Jean (Jim)
Richardson of Hamilton, Betty Hymes of Hamilton, Ray Agnew of Carthage
and Robert McVeigh of Carthage; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pam; son, Clinton; and
siblings, Patty Parish, Philip Agnew, Karen Sue Agnew, Kenneth Agnew
and Leroy Agnew.
Family will meet friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon, October
11, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton with a memorial service to
immediately follow. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Printy Funeral
Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
