Donald Allen Day Jr

Donald Allen Day Jr, 57, of Carthage, IL, passed away early on Tuesday, September 9,
2025, at his home in Carthage.
Donnie was born on October 15, 1967, in Macomb, IL. He was the son of Donald Allen
and Emma (Mustain) Day. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1986. Donnie
drove a truck for most of his life. He was a total gearhead. Donnie loved everything that
had an engine, especially his Harley. He could talk all day about cars, trucks, or
motorcycles. He enjoyed fixing up old vehicles. Donnie loved spending time with his
family, and this includes his many pets throughout his life. He was a selfless man that
would help anyone that needed it.
Donnie is survived by his sons, Alan (Laura) Day of Peoria, IL, and Kraig Haukapp of
Augusta, IL; his step-children, Alexis Russell, and Margot Russell; his siblings, Tammie
(John) Sinibaldi of Carthage, IL, Lonnie (Brenda) Day of Denver, IL, and Jamie (Erin)
Day of Bowen, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Printy Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.
