Sandra Stella (Schutte) Jacobs, 85, of Forney, Texas, formerly of Hamilton, Illinois, passed
away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas.
Sandra was born on March 20, 1940, in Fresno, California, the daughter of Clyde and Zoe
(Harris) Wright. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1958, and went on to graduate
from Western Illinois University in 1970 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education,
receiving her Master’s Degree in Education in 1975. She taught in Keokuk for many years, and
also worked as an EMT.
Sandra was an involved member of Park View Bible Church in Hamilton, and volunteered for
many local organizations including the Forney Food Pantry, Keokuk Meals on Wheels and
Senior Citizen Homes. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing in Keokuk, gardening, reading,
solving puzzles and caring for her beloved pets.
Sandra is survived by her son David (Amy) Bell of Kinder, Louisiana, her daughter Leslie Coe of
Forney, Texas, her grandson Zachary Coe (significant other Jasmine Galvan) of Lewisville,
Texas; nieces Cheryl (Mike) Nash and Sharon Schulte of Maryland; and many great nieces and
nephews.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harve Schutte, her granddaughter Ella
Bell and her grandson Ethan Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in
Hamilton, with burial to follow at Burlington Memorial Park in Burlington, Iowa. Visitation will be
held from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, June 2, at the funeral home directly before the service.
