Leslie Gayle Hurst

1959-2025

 

Leslie Gayle Hurst, 65 of Keokuk, IA passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.

     She was born on December 1, 1959 the daughter of James P. and Anita W. Wolfe Plummer. 

     Leslie was united in marriage to Grant Hurst in Gatlinburg, TN in 2000. He survives.

     Other survivors include five children Sarepta Watson, Adam Watson, Fletcher Harrell, Brittany Hurst and Ian Hurst and nine grandchildren, Dakota Cote, Phoenix Cote, Levi Cote, Caleb Watson, Liam Watson, Quentin O’Riley, Derrick Hurst, Preston McClain and Neveah Hurst.  She is also survived by four sisters, Phyllis (Woody) Graham, Diann Boyles, Becky (Ed) Weedmark and Jan (Gordon) Fuller and one brother-in-law, Danny Hurst.

     She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Leslie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  Her grandchildren were the sunshine of her life and she loved spending time with them.

     According to her wishes, there will be no service.

     The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
