Mark Anthony Cruze

1970-2024

 

     Mark Anthony Cruze, 54 of Davenport, IA passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at The Ivy at Davenport in Davenport, IA.

     He was born September 24, 1970 in Iowa City the son of Ralph Robert “Bob” and Bonita Evermon Cruze.

     Mark found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had an immense love for music, collecting countless CDs over the years. Whether it was singing karaoke with friends or enjoying a quiet evening listening to his favorite songs, music was always a central part of his life. Mark also loved watching movies and could often be found watching everything from classic films to the latest releases.

     Mark's warm spirit and friendly nature left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He was known for his ability to make others smile and for the way he made every gathering special.      

     He is survived by his step-mother and caregiver, Betty Cruze (Roger Kemper) of Argyle, his brother, William “Bill” Cruze of Texas, his niece and nephew, Britanie Lenzi (Jantson) and Aaron Cruze and a sister-in-law, Robyn Lee Tufford of Texas.  He is also survived by step-siblings, Tammy Koolbeck (Mike), Scott Clemenson (Dr. Carmen), Tony Clemenson (Sheri), Maxx Lane (Eugene), Melissa Kemper (Cheyenne Schwarz) and several step-nieces and nephews, Tyler Koolbeck, Chloe and Dakota Clemenson, Isabelle and Margret Clemenson and Bethany Lane.

     He was preceded in death by his parents.

     A graveside services will be held at 12 noon, on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Oakland Sand Cemetery in Vincennes, IA.  Following the service everyone is invited for food and fellowship with the family at the St. Francisville Community Center in St. Francisville, MO.
