Cheryl Joy Huls, 80, of Carthage, IL entered into eternal rest early in the morning of
Saturday March 15, 2025 , in Carthage, IL.
Cheryl was born August 9th, 1944, in Rockford, IL to Lloyd and Betty (Denning) Van
Hove. She was united in marriage to Jimmy G. Huls on August 2, 1964, at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in rural Carthage.
Cheryl always had a love of horses and being outdoors. She went to beauty school after
high school and practiced as a beautician. Cheryl loved spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by: Grandson Justin Huls of Carthage, IL, Son Mike (Shelly) Huls of
Augusta Il, Granddaughter Kacy (Jose) Ramirez of Clearwater KS, Sister Karen Ancelet
of Bettendorf IA, Sister Terry (Jim) Goff of Biggsville IL, Daughter-in-Law Esta Huls and
many other cousins and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Betty Van Hove, Husband Jimmy
Huls, Sons Jeff Huls and Jamie Huls, Brother Randy Van Hove, and Brother-in-Law
Richard Ancelet.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM at Printy
Funeral Home in Carthage, with a private family burial to follow. A memorial fund has
been established. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
