Marian Phillips

Marian Phillips, 92, of Warsaw, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Macomb
Post Acute Care Center in Macomb, Illinois.
Marian was born on January 24, 1933, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and
Margaret (Williams) Dunham. On November 30, 1963, she was united in marriage to
Richard “Dick” Harold Phillips in Hamilton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 23,
2019.
Marian raised her children and worked throughout the area at American Motors, St.
Louis Gear Company, Foote Mineral and as an LPN. She was a member of Concordia
Lutheran Church in Warsaw, and enjoyed horses, her pet birds, mushroom hunting, and
collecting arrowheads and geodes.
Marian is survived by five children: Joyce (David) Hauk of Warsaw, Robert (Kim)
Sanderson of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, Cynthia (Kevin) Sanderson-Roskamp of Mendon,
Illinois, Elizabeth Jones of Quincy, Illinois, and Patricia (Adolph) Mejia of San Antonio,
Texas; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-
grandchildren.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, sons George and
James Sanderson, grandson John Jones, sister Ruth Dunham, and brother Mervin
Dunham.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Concordia
Lutheran Church in Warsaw, with burial to follow at the Lutheran Cemetery in Warsaw.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14 from 3 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends
from 5 to 7 pm at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Cemetery in Warsaw.
