Fern Ellen Dooley, 73, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away early on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.  

Fern was born on July 9, 1951, in South Amboy, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Thomas Jackson and Jennette Green. Fern graduated High School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She spent many years working for Methode. Later, she went on to work as a security guard for Siemens. Fern loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandkids. 

Fern is survived by her son, James Dooley, of Carthage, IL, her daughters, Andrea Allen, of TX, and Dana Sullivan, of TX, her grandchildren, Quenton, Mikki, Heather, Brittany, Ashlyn, Tristan Ribert, and Devin, great grandchildren, Kady, Ella, Levi, Grayson, Lilly, Anthony, Benjamin, Collin, Cameron. 

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Jackson, and her great grandchild, Caiden. 

Mom requested no services and we apologize to those who would say goodbye.
