Joseph Dale Adair

Joseph Dale Adair, 67, of Warsaw, passed away at 2:20 PM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

 

Joe was born January 29, 1957, the son of Leo “Gunny” and Betty (Courtois) Adair in Quincy, Illinois.  He graduated from Warsaw High School.  On July 18, 1981, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Boyer in Warsaw.  Joe was a lifelong sports fan enjoying West Hancock and Clark County High School events involving his grandchildren, Western Illinois College football, and St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams professional games.  

 

Joe is survived by his wife, Cindy, of Warsaw; three children, Brandy (Jeff) Brown of Wayland, Mo, Amanda (Joe) Fineg of Ridgecrest, CA and Adam (Amanda) Adair of Keokuk; grandchildren, Abby, Alexis and Nathan Brown, Maddy, Savannah, Joey and Jerome Fineg, and Elijah and Braxton Adair; one sister-in-law, Anita Adair; a brother-in-law Dewayne and Karen Boyer; sisters-in-law Kim Boyer and Terry Kincaid and Michelle Boyer; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Cecil and Roger Adair.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning, January 6, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage burial will follow in Oak Valley Missionary Cemetery, rural Sutter, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 at the funeral home Memorials may be directed to the West Hancock High School Sports Boosters or H.U.G.S. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
