Allan Bernard Nason

Allan Bernard Nason, age 66, of Mendon passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024, at
his home surrounded by family.
Allan was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 22, 1958, the son of Bernard and Helen
(Salley) Nason. He attended Warsaw High School, graduating in 1976. Allan had a great
love of sports and was an outstanding athlete. He excelled in football and baseball all
through his school years.
Allan was employed at Keokuk Steel Castings for 25 years, retiring as Inspection
Superintendent. He has spent his retirement years caring for the family homestead and
gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with family creating special memories
including holidays, deer and turkey hunting, and fishing on his pond. His grandchildren
were his greatest joy, watching them grow up, attending their sporting events, playing table
games, and teaching them to fish.
Allan is survived by his current wife Dorothy of Mendon; children, Eric (Trisha fiancée)
Nason, Tiffany (Gary) Huston, Nicole (Lynn) Marshall; stepchildren, Zachary Lair, Lacy
(Sam) Landrum, Jerad (Jennifer) Cantrell, Amanda (David partner) Cantrell; grandchildren,
Caitlyn (Cody) Winkler, Caleb Nason, Callie Nason, Caia Nason, Trey (Autumn) Roberts,
Taiylor Huston, Paiyton Huston, Jaiyden Huston, Maverick Huston, Asher Huston, Alec
Hymes; step-grandchildren Taylor (Wyatt) Huls, Olivia Elkin, Zoey Marshall, Lucas
Masterson, Noah Lair, Breanna Landrum, Logan Landrum, Paige Hynek, Bryce Cantrell,
Samarah Cantrell, Sidney Cantrell, David Butler; great grandchildren, Cale Winkler, Chloe
Winkler, Nash Roberts; step-great grandchildren, Sam Huls, Theo Huls; brothers, Bill (Jill)
Nason, Ron (Heather) Nason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Sam; his second wife of 25 years,
Linda (d. 2002); his first wife, Kim (d. 2001).
Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 on Sunday November 17, 2024 at Printy Funeral Home
Warsaw Illinois.
Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 officiated by Pastor Edward Brownlee.
Burial in Oakland Cemetery Warsaw
Memorial Donations maybe made to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of St.
Louis, Missouri.
