William Frederick Reuck
William was born December 4, 1942, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Roy Alden Reuck and
Marjorie (Phipps) Bishop. After high school he went on to attain his Bachelor of Arts
degree in Politics and Government at University of Maryland.
William entered the U. S. Air Force in 1963, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1967. He
went on to serve the Nation as an Occupation Program Manager for the National Security
Agency, retiring in 1997. William was an active member of the Moose Lodge.
On December 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Faye Tarlton of Garrett,
Indiana who preceded him in death. William had 2 great passions - baseball/softball and
running his dogs in the sport of agility. He played softball into the 90s and then got
hooked on dog agility. He, especially, loved running with his Border Collie, Caitlin.
William is survived by his daughter, Lauralee Reuck (David) McGuire of Glen Burnie,
Maryland; and a grandson, Branden Reuck
McGuire. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Bishop; wife,
Lorraine; and his son, William Alden Reuck.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Carthage,
Illinois on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Local arrangements by Printy Funeral
