Scott W. Hancock

1972-2024

 

     Scott W. Hancock, 52 of Keokuk, IA passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024.

     He was born February 1, 1972 in Keokuk, IA the son of Robert and Freeda Palmer Hancock.  Scott attended Keokuk High School.

     He had been employed by Dan’s Tree Service and Bob’s Lawn Care.

     Scott enjoyed crafts and fishing. He had a green thumb and also enjoyed working with his rosebush.  He loved hanging out with his family and friends and having a cold beer.  He also loved to sit outside most of the day and was there if a neighbor needed him.

     He is survived by his siblings, John Waller of Palatine, IL, Jack Hancock (Cheryl) of Sandia, TX, Bondeana Hancock Davis of Bloomfield, IA, Patricia Hancock Farmer of Bloomfield, IA, Robert Hancock, II of Ft. Madison, IA.  He came from a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins.  He had several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He also had a few great friends that treated and loved him as family, as he did them.  Scott loved all, he had a big heart and he will be missed.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents, one brother, Jeffrey Hancock, two nephews, Eric Hancock and Jeremiah Hanke and one great-nephew, Xavier Andersen.

     The family is having a private Celebration of Life.  Please feel free to contact Deana, Patty or Bobby for information.

     The Vigen Memorial Home is Keokuk, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
