Larry Franklin Harrison, 80 of Aledo, formerly of the Carthage area, died Friday, December 22, 2023, at Aledo Rehab and Healthcare Center, Aledo. Per his request, cremation was accorded, and no public services will be held. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo assisted the family.

Larry was born on December 25, 1942, in Elvaston, Illinois to Archie Lee & Bertha Elmyra (Lynch) Harrison. He was previously married to the former Sharon Lomax. She survives.  Larry married Carole Ann McCormac on December 29, 1977, in Kahoka, Missouri. She preceded him in death.

Larry enjoyed farming and worked in the retail industry prior to retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and crafts. Larry and Carole enjoyed traveling and going to the boat. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Larry had recently rededicated his life to the Lord and appreciated services given at the Rehab Center.

Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his children: Kevin & Ginger Harrison and Karla Harrison, all of Hamilton, IL; step-daughter, Suzanne & her husband, Jim and daughter, Valerie; grandchildren and spouses: Christopher Keefe & partner, Koral, Tiffany & Jason Baxter; Brandon & Rachel Matlock; Chelsea & Anthony Hopp and Wesley Harrison; step-grandchildren: Michelle & Julio Cordoba; Christopher & Cecillie Vinson and Trenton Jones; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
