Roger Lee Corbin, 76, of Hamilton, passed away at his home Wednesday,
November 29, 2023.
Roger was born in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Earl Wesley and Nellie Mae (Lewis)
Corbin on June 17, 1947. He attended Hamilton High School. On August 10,
1966, he entered the U. S. Army and served overseas during the Vietnam War
receiving three overseas service bars and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was
rated expert in rifle. He received his Honorable Discharge on December 6, 1968.
He was united in marriage to Judith Moffitt. They later divorced but remained
friends. Roger worked for the Whirlpool Corporation for twelve years in Indiana
and then went to work for the U. S. Postal Service in maintenance and as a mail
handler until his retirement in 2005. Roger was of the Christian faith, was a
member of the V.F.W. and American Legion and enjoyed fishing and
woodworking.
Roger is survived by his children, Chastity (Chris) Biggs and James “Jamie” Corbin
and Jessica Rockhold and Jonathan Anderson; grandchildren Derek Helmer,
Christian Helmer, Jaelynn Rockhold, Jenessa Rockhold and Blake Gilbert; and two
sisters, Wanda (Leonard) Jarrett and Brenda Croisant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Wesley Corbin; a sister,
Elizabeth G. Jones; and his former wife, Judith.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 13 th , 2023, at 2:00 PM in
Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton with full military rites. Family will meet friends
from 1:00 P.M. until time of procession to cemetery at 1:45 at Printy Funeral
Home in Hamilton. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of
arrangements.
