Phillip John Beavers, 79, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

Phillip was born on December 25, 1943, the son of Edward Beavers and Ida Marie Whitney, in Cincinnati Township, Illinois. He was one of fourteen brothers and sisters. Phillip married his first wife Linda and had three kids, Dale, Kim, and Angie. They later divorced. He was then united in marriage to Janet Beaver. They had two kids, Sara, and David. Two stepsons Doug and Terry. They later divorced. He was then engaged to Tina Weisinger.

Phillip worked many jobs throughout his life. He spent time on the farm with his dad. He worked at Soybean in Quincy, IL, Garmet Factory in Memphis, MO, Steel Castings in Keokuk, IA, Boarding Home in Kennett, MO, Oil Field in Mohams, TX, Small Engine Repairs in West Point, IL, Coroner in Barry, IL, an auto mechanic in Warsaw, IL, mowed yards in Hamilton, IL, and finished with managing the trailer park in Hamilton. 

Phillip was a very hard worker and loved to be outside whether it was working on lawn mowers, cars, or fishing. He enjoyed going to auctions and having yard sales. Phillip loved to talk with friends and joke around, but nothing compared to seeing his grand kids. 

Phillip is survived by his seven children: Phillip Dale Beavers of Keokuk, IA, Kim Rainville of Burlington, IA, Angela Gregory of Ft. Madison, IA, Sara (David Hale) Biddenstadt of Hamilton, IL, David (Amber Genck) Beavers of Keokuk, IA, Doug Hesseltine of Wayland, IA, and Terry (Jen Shoemaker) Hesseltine of Carthage, IL; his grand-children, Phillip, Cody, Bianca, Amanda, Kendra, Robert, Areale, Demeon, Alexis, Kaylynn, Samantha, Clayton, Brooklyn, Christopher, Emma, Mika, Kayla, Courtney, Alan, Brett, Taushia, Ryan, and many great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Rosie, Pearl, Junior, Richard, Marjorie, Dorothy, Katherine, Sarah, Brenda, William, Shirley, Bonney, and Ernie. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton on October 2, 2023 from 4 – 7 pm. Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton is handling arrangements.
