Sharon Kay Huls, 77, of Bentley, passed away at her home Sunday evening, July 30, 2023.

 

She was loved and respected by many throughout her career.  She first worked at Shellor Globe for twenty-five years.  Then she attended college at SCC in Keokuk and Burlington, Iowa.  Then started her career as Administrative Secretary of the business department.  She also taught some business courses.

 

After retirement, her, and the love of her life, Clifford A. Huls went of many adventures.  They loved to travel.  They were both into shooting clay birds, with Clifford winning many championships.

 

She is survived by her daughter Shari (Bill) Johnson; sons, Roger (David) Bullard and Jeff (Karen) Bullard; adopted son, Stan (Laura) Jones; also Clifford’s daughters, Cheryl (Brian) Gaines, Julie (Brad) Walker, Rhonda (Steve) Vinyard and Teresa (Myron) Leenerts; last count was nineteen grandchildren and over twenty-five great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Vernon and Dennis Huls; sister-in-law, Lorna Plowman; and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Huls; a daughter, Mitzi Jane Bullard; a sister, Mary Heevner; her mother, Mary Sullivan; and her fathers, Charles Sullivan and Warren Hagmeier.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 7, 2023, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery near Basco.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Basco.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
