Timothy Alyn Terrell

Timothy Alyn Terrell, 70, formerly of Hamilton, died in New Orleans on June 16 after a six-
month battle with cancer. Tim was born in Keokuk on November 24, 1952, to Walter “Beezer”
and Betty (Kinkade) Terrell. After graduating from Hamilton High School, he joined the United
States Navy.
Tim was preceded in death by his second wife, Kim (Roth), father Beezer and brother Bruce
Terrell. He is survived by his mother Betty Terrell, Van Buren, Arkansas; children Christopher
(Marta) Terrell and Miranda (Edward) Kijanka of Spring Valley, California; grandchildren Noah,
Sebastian, Gordon, Thomas and Posey Kijanka, and Martin Terrell, all of Spring Valley; former
wife and mother of his children, Sandy Terrell (nee Price), Spring Valley; siblings Teresa (Del)
Smock, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Janie (Jim) Simmons, Van Buren, Arkansas; Mike (Carla) Terrell,
Warsaw, Illinois; and Jim (Lorraine) Terrell, Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews,
including greats and great-greats.
Timothy’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 12 pm (Noon) on Saturday,
September 16, 2023, at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Illinois with burial to follow at
Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Military honors at the graveside will be rendered by the
United States Navy and the Hancock County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held at the church
on Saturday, September 16, from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) directly before the service.
Memorials may be made to H.U.G.S. of Hancock County.
