Ann Regina (Sartory) VanAusdall, 99, of Quincy, formerly of Warsaw, went to be
with her Lord at her home at early Saturday morning, March 4, 2023.
Ann was born in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of Julius R. and Clara T. (Bisgen)
Sartory on November 5, 1923. On October 5, 1943, she was united in marriage to
Pete Q. VanAusdall at the Cathedral of Magdalene in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann and
Pete were parents of one son, Ronald Victor; grandparents of Roni and Rene;
great grandparents of Beckham, Adley and Alani. Ann had worked at Keokuk
Steel Castings in Keokuk for over 30 years. She was an active community member
serving as an election judge for many years, was a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary and an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Warsaw. She, Pete and her son Ron owned VanAusdall Farms where they raised
standardbred harness racehorses, mink and rabbits.
Ann is survived by her daughter-in-law, Connie VanAusdall (Ron – Deceased) of
Warsaw; granddaughters, Roni and Rene VanAusdall of Quincy; great
grandchildren, Beckham Hunter VanAusdall, Adley Rose VanAusdall and Alani
Raye VanAusdall of Quincy; three sisters-in-law, Lucille Sartory of Keokuk, Emma
VanAusdall of Quincy and Mabel Lee VanAusdall of Montrose.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete; a son, Ronald
VanAusdall; an infant sister, Theresa; and brothers, James, Victor and Francis
“Fanny” Sartory.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning, March 11, 2023, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw with burial to follow in Oakland
Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at
Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. A memorial fund has been established. Printy
Funeral Home of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
