Karen Sue Osterloh, 79, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away at 5:13 PM Saturday,
December 17, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Karen was born in Hancock County, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Fern
(Schneider) Grisham on September 22, 1943. Karen had worked at the rock
quarry in Eddyville, Iowa and as a school bus driver for the Eddyville school
district. She loved listening to bands and especially dancing. She was a member
of the Southside Boat Club and Keokuk yacht club and enjoyed dancing there. She
was particularly close to her nephew Tristan Grisham/Contingency Band and was
his biggest fan. Karen was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in
Quincy and Hamilton.
Karen is survived by her husband, Irvin Bell of Hamilton; children, Marlene
“Tammy” (Richard) Turchin in Minnesota, Corina (Rick) Carle of New Boston,
Illinois and Francis William (Angela) Wrieden, Jr. of Wapello, Iowa; step-children,
Patty (Gregory Gail) Young of Hamilton, Debbie (Mark) Clark of Keokuk and
Jennifer (Kevin) Lee of Washington, Illinois; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one
great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond Grisham, Jr., Donnie Grisham
and Norma Gibson.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2022, at Printy
Funeral Home in Hamilton. Family will meet friends from 11:00 AM until time of
services at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s
Hospital. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
