Douglas “Doug” Maurice Lambert

1952-2022

 

     Douglas “Doug” Maurice Lambert, 70 of Keokuk, IA died Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.

     He was born September 3, 1952 in Quincy, IL the son of Edwin and Monique Lambert.

     He graduated from Quincy High School with the Class of 1971.  Doug received his Associates Degree in computer science while living in Houston, TX.

     Doug had been employed as a salesman at several different businesses through the years including Sears. Most recently he had been employed as a driver at Shottenkirk Toyota in Quincy, IL. He also enjoyed volunteering with the “Men in Blue” at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

     Doug loved technology, computers, and any other tech gadgets.   Doug was a car enthusiast and always kept all of his cars spotless.

     He is survived by his fiancé, Vickie Cockrell of Keokuk and her children and grandchildren all of whom he considered his own, Angela Profeta (Patrick) of Keokuk, Chelsy Arnold (Scott) of O’Fallon, MO and Michael Belville (Laura) of Wentzville, MO and their children, Falecia, Patrick, Nicholas and Erich Profeta, Zoey and Owen Arnold and Olyvia and Adelyn Belville.  He was a faithful fan of Vickie’s grandkids activities. 

     Other survivors include his mother, Monique Steinkamp of Carlyle, IL, two step-brothers, Dean Steinkamp (Jeanne) of Quincy, IL, and Mick Steinkamp (Vickie) of Quincy, IL, a close family friend, Mary Sapp of Quincy, IL and several other friends and relatives.

     He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Lambert, his step-father, Lawrence B. “Steinie” Steinkamp, two brothers, Bob and Paul Lambert, one step-brother, Lawrence Steinkamp and two step-sisters, Jeanette Garrison and Kathy Morgan.

     A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Derek Olsen officiating.

     Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
