Ina Arlene Huls, 88, of Carthage, passed away at the Maple Grove Care Center in Carthage at 12:50 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

 

Ina was born October 28, 1933, in LaPrairie, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob and Minnie (Fecht) Redenius.

 

She was united in marriage to Harold Huls December 6, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Basco.  He preceded her in death in 2019.

 

Ina and Harold were lifelong farmers.  Ina also spent several years caring for others in their homes. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and served on many groups at the church.

 

Ina is survived by two daughters, Bev (Duane) Jordan, Carthage and Joyce Huls of Chandler, Arizona; three grandchildren, Sara (Matt) Henning of Petaluma, California, Amber Dooley of Republic, Missouri, and Ryan (Nikki Hainds) Jordan of Carthage; three great grandchildren, Beatrice and Cecelia Henning of Petaluma, California and Cassidy Dooley of Republic, Missouri; one sister, Eileen (Ralph) Logan, one brother, Merlin (Betty) Redenius and one sister-in-law, Linda Quinn of Carthage.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Orland Redenius and Lester Redenius.  Husband Harold and two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Dooley and Cathy Lefler, son-in-law Steve Dooley, brother-in-law Ralph Logan and sister-in-law Pat Redenius. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Basco, with burial follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements
