Albert Eugene Dunn

1961-2022

 

     Albert Eugene Dunn, 61, of Keokuk, IA died Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

     He was born February 1, 1961 in Iowa City, IA the son of Ralph Jr. and Joy Bell Houston Dunn.  Albert graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1979.

     On April 10, 1982 Albert was united in marriage to Tresa Hodges at New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk.  She survives.

     Other survivors include one son, Keith Dunn of Keokuk, one daughter, Rachel Foster (Heath) of Charlestown, NH and four grandchildren, Olesya, Asher, Rilynn and Ezren.  He is also survived by one brother, Robert Dunn (Linda) of Kiln, MS and two sisters, Sandy Johnson (Tim) of Burlington, IA and Joyce Schenelle (Dustin) of Ursa, IL and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents.

     Albert had been employed at Henniges in Keokuk for thirty-two years, until his retirement in 2016.

     He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Keokuk.

     Albert was ornery and took pride in helping others.  He played an instrumental role in establishing the Cowboy Church in Wayland, MO, where he and his wife were the first two people to be baptized in the church.  Albert enjoyed building things, guns, spending time outdoors and hunting.  He adored his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them.  

     A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

     Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
