Danny P. Wildrick

Danny P. Wildrick, 77, of Hamilton, passed away at 2:05 AM early Thursday morning, August 11, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

 

Danny was born October 15, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Louise (Heagy) Wildrick. He was united in marriage to Beverly Johnson on November 22, 1970.

 

Danny is survived by two sons, Jamie Wildrick of Hamilton and Daron (Erin Ryan) Wildrick of Quincy; two brothers, Kent (Maria) Wildrick and Phil (Beverly) Wildrick, both of Carthage; a sister, Diana (Leon) Lemaire of Basco; two brothers-in-law, Darrell Limkeman of Bloomfield, Iowa and Narlyn Nelson of Bloomington, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Larry) Buckert of Warsaw and Diann (Robbie) Means of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bev, in February 2015; his parents; mother and father-in-law; two sisters, Debbie Nelson and Sharon Limkemann; and a brother, Jack Wildrick.

 

Danny graduated from Hamilton High School in 1962.  In 1966 he was drafted into the United States Army and attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  After basic training Danny was stationed in Amberg, Germany where he achieved the rank of E-5.  Danny received his Honorable Discharge in 1968.  After his military service Danny worked for Bowers in Macomb until 1971.  From 1971 to 2005 Danny was a machinist for Morse Rubber/Metal Minerals in Keokuk, Iowa.  Danny was a journeyman machinist and a member of the United Steelworkers.  He retired in 2005.  Danny loved St. Louis Cardinal baseball, watching the news, taking afternoon rides in the car, sitting on his porch and watching television.  Danny was a supporter of Quincy Blue Devil football. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning, August 15, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Basco with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Hancock County Sheriffs Reserve, American Diabetes Association or Quincy Blue Devils Football Boosters.  Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
