Jan B. Knipe, 76, of Hamilton, passed away at 7:15 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

 

Jan was born February 13, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Albert and June (Skyles) Knipe.  He graduated from Hamilton High School and went on to be a pilot for Britt, Continental Airlines and Titan International.  He served in the U. S. Army receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1967.

 

Jan will be dearly missed by his loving companion, Sandra Brown Hamilton and her family and a special friend, Lucas Hall.  Jan is also survived by three sisters, Mary, Trudy and Julie; two step-sons; and a step-daughter.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Per Jan’s wishes private services will be held at a later date.  Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
