William T. “Billy” Vinson

1981-2022

 

     William T. “Billy” Vinson, 41 of West Des Moines, IA, formerly of Keokuk, IA died Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.

     He was born March 21, 1981 in Keokuk, IA the son of Terry and Maria Reeves Vinson.  Billy graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1999 and from Kirkwood Community College with an Associates of Arts in communication.

     Billy was a member of Faith Family Church in Keokuk.

     He had been employed in “IT” information technology department at several businesses in Dallas, TX.

     Billy loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, vegetable gardening and hiking.  He was talented cook and enjoyed eating.  Billy liked to work out at the gym, flying drones and most of all he loved Dallas, his min pin.  His friendship was a gift he gave freely and he touched the lives of many.

     He is survived by his mother, Maria Wessel (Mark) of Montrose, IA, his father, Terry Vinson (Beth) of Keokuk, one brother, Matthew Vinson (Sara O’Brien) of Waukee, IA, two sisters, Tera Vinson (Mandy Morris) of Montrose, IA and Kelli Graham (Adam Hamad) of Dallas, TX.  He is also survived by his step-father, Pat Graham of Keokuk, one niece, Alexa Vinson of Keokuk and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

     He is preceded in death by Dallas.

     There will be no services.

     Memorials have been established in his name and checks may be made out to Tera Vinson.

     The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
