Dorothea (Dorothy) Marie Eiffert

Dorothea (Dorothy) Marie Eiffert, 79, of Bowen, passed away at 10:35 PM Sunday, March 13, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Dorothy was born November 6, 1942, in Downing, Missouri, the daughter of Cleo Clyde and Anna Lee (Bissell) Bradley. She graduated from Downing High School in 1959. She was married to Donald L. Eiffert in her mother’s backyard on June 15, 1960. Dorothy worked at Methode Electronics in Carthage for many years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed planting flowers and attending rodeo’s with her husband, Don and her daughter Brenda. Dorothy was of the Protestant faith.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Don, a daughter, Brenda (Greg Hammack) Hamman of Neosho, Missouri; two grandchildren, Tyler (Elizabeth) Neally of Carthage, and Tara (Brock) Mosier of Bettendorf, Iowa; six great grandchildren, Veda Neally, Hudson Neally, Jamarion Robinson, Aria Mosier, Truett Mosier, and Rollins Mosier; she is also survived by her siblings, Donna Meeks of Kahoka, Missouri, Roger (Twila) Bradley of Neosho, Missouri, Debbie Lowe of Hamilton, Illinois, Dale (Lola) Bradley of Neosho, Missouri, Dixie (Larry) Fink of Carthage, Illinois, Deanna (Gene) Hitz, of Abbington, Illinois, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-father, Bill Haley, a son, Bradley Edwin Eiffert and a son in infancy Brackston Lee Eiffert; a brother, Buddy Lee Bradley and two brothers-in-law, Hollis Meeks and Don Lowe.

Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
