Harriette "Jane" Moore

Harriette “Jane” Moore, 65, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

 

Jane was born on September 16, 1956, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Harry and Lula Mae (Nipper) Bullen. She graduated from high school in Sparland, Illinois, in 1974, and on June 6, 1981, she was united in marriage to Dennis “Denny” Moore in Sparland, Illinois. He survives. 

 

Jane was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa, for twenty-four years, and worked as a daycare provider for twenty-one years. Her hobbies included sewing and baking. In her free time, she could often be found at Walmart, where she shopped daily. Jane was the definition of a “people person” and loved her family and friends fiercely. She made everybody feel like a somebody. She was passionate about people and loved to share her faith in Jesus with whoever she met. Jane will always be remembered for the love that she showed others. 

 

Jane is survived by her husband Denny Moore of Hamilton, Illinois; four children: Tianna (Gabe) Smeltser of Hamilton, Michelle (Matthew) Nelson of Chipley, Florida, Keith (Alexis) Moore of Hamilton, and Josh (Fiancé Mackenzie Vollbracht) Moore of Hamilton; nine grandchildren: Brayson and Brynlee Smeltser, Adalynn, Kenzlee, Kadence and Hadlee Nelson, Olivia and Everly Moore and Mason Moore; three sisters: Andrea (Louis) King of Holiday, Florida, Jolly (Rick) Backus of Peoria, Illinois, and Trisha (Ezell) Jenkins of Peoria, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.

 

Jane is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Harry Bullen, Jr.

 

Jane’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at noon on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at New Testament Christian Church (The Church on Hilton Road) in Keokuk, Iowa. The service will be livestreamed on Jane’s obituary page at www.printyfuneralhome.com. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 am to noon directly before the service.

 

Memorials may be directed to New Testament Christian Church or Keokuk Christian Academy.
