Richard W. "Rick" Mann

Richard W. “Rick” Mann, 62, of West Point, passed away at 7:44 P.M. at his home Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

 

Rick was born March 19, 1959, in Keokuk, Iowa.  His mother was Kathryn Stepp.  He graduated from Monahans High School in 1977.  He was united in marriage to Debra “Debbie” White in Wickett, Texas on September 16, 1977.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball and watching NASCAR.  He served as a first responder and also plowed snow.  He also loved dancing and spending time with his family.  Rick drove truck for over 40 years.

 

Rick is survived by his wife, Debra “Debbie” Mann of West Point; a daughter, Kimberly (Shane) Bartimus of West Point; a son, Brandon (Brad) Mann of Godfrey, Illinois; grandchildren, Sierra, Kayleigh and Wyatt Bartimus; a sister, Gloria “Jean” Germann of West Point; two brothers, William (Nancy) Mann of Monahans, Texas and Chuck (Patty) Mann of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-law, Rhonda Mann of Kerville, Texas; and brothers-in-law, Terry White of Benld, Illinois and Frank Weiss of Hillsboro, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Ron Mann and two stillborn brothers, Stephen and Jimmy; sister-in-law, Pamela Weiss; brother-in-law, John Germann; and his aunt and uncle that helped raise him, Ralph and Josephine Mason.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial in the West Point Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage.  Memorials may be directed to the family of Richard Mann.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements
