Frankie "Frank" Lee Bavery

Frankie “Frank” Lee Bavery, 65 of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.

 

Frank was born on October 29, 1956 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Billie Lee and Dorothy (Dooley) Bavery. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1974. On April 5, 1975, he was united in marriage to Deborah “Debbie” Sue Lowman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw, Illinois. She survives.

 

During high school Frank worked for Robert “Busher” Franks at the Aqua System in Warsaw. Shortly after Frank started working for Harley Lowman Construction of Warsaw, assisting in the construction of 60-70 homes in the area. Frank started working at Griffin Wheel in August 1977, retiring as a Safety Supervisor in 2017.

 

Frank always had another project going. He knew the importance of hard work and taking care of what he had received. He enjoyed helping his mom with her garden and keeping his yard and patio inviting. When not outdoors, the Garage (Man Cave) was the place to find Frank. He was an avid gun enthusiast and enjoyed reloading, especially helping others learn how to reload. On many occasions you would also find Frank helping Debbie with her projects she had going on. Frank loved to cook and find new recipes to try. He was known well for his cheese soup.

Frank lived his life as a community-minded volunteer. Assisting with the sports boosters and building projects at the church, fairgrounds, football field , and park district. He was also good at working with his hands. Frank was an excellent woodworker as well.

 

Frank is survived by his wife Debbie Sue Bavery of Warsaw; his son Lee Matthew Bavery of Warsaw; his mother Dorothy Bavery of Warsaw; his brother John (Geri) Bavery of Warsaw; his sister Judy (Jerry) Jones of Linn Creek, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Frank is preceded in death by his father Billie, his granddaughter Mary Sue Elizabeth Bavery and two brothers: Billy Eugene Bavery and Jimmie James Bavery.

 

A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw, with burial to follow at Oakland cemetary in Warsaw. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 7 pm with family meeting friends from 4 to 7 pm at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.  A Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7 pm on Friday at the funeral home directly following the visitation.

 

Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.
