Wanda Sue Schaller, 78, of Ferris, passed away at 10:00 AM at her home, Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Wanda was born October 30, 1942, the daughter of Glenwood and Pearl (Walbring) Smiddy in her family home north of Burnside, Illinois. She attended Colusa High School graduating in 1960. On March 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to James Schaller at the Ferris Christian Church. Wanda was a long-time member of the Ferris Christian Church and had been a homemaker and financial advisor at Robert Morris College for many years.
Wanda is survived by her husband, James Schaller, of Ferris; sons, Shad (Pamela) Schaller of Ferris and Seth (Dina) Schaller of Ferris; grandchildren, Joshua, Kristine, Megan, Elizabeth (Carson McKee), Isabel and Olivia Schaller; great granddaughters, Rylie Baucom and Ellison McKee; siblings, Max (Thelma) Smiddy of Macomb, Carolyn Hanson of Carthage and Joyce (Mick) Milby of Ottumwa, Iowa; her best friend, Bonnie Cox; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Smiddy; nephews, Glen Smiddy and Andy Matthews; and nieces, Deanna Aikman and Angie Smiddy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in Wanda’s memory. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
