Mark A. Neally, 63, of Keokuk, formerly of Carthage, passed away at 3:13 AM Monday, September 6, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy after a long battle with diabetes.
Mark was born September 5, 1958, the son of Frank “Brud” Neally, Jr. and Patsy Ann (Mapes) Neally, Jr. in Carthage, Illinois. He graduated from Carthage High School class of 1976.
Mark was a dedicated, hardworking man with many talents and jobs. Along the way he made many close friends. Mark’s contagious smile and love for his family and friends never went unnoticed (especially the little ones in his life). Mark had many “nicknames”, you many have known him as Ma Brown, Big Dog, Uncle Sparky, and many others.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Josh) Gosnell of Montrose, Iowa; grandchildren, Kelsey (Justin) Miller, Trenton Gosnell and Cole (Taylor) Courtney, all of Montrose; a great granddaughter, Elliana Mae Miller; siblings, Stanley (Suzy) Neally of Goosecreek, SC, John Neally of Carthage, Danny Neally (Donna Thompson) of Ferris, Kim (Ed) McQuigg of Carthage and Lisa (Albert Smeltser) Neally of Hamilton; Nieces and Nephews; Mitch (Kate) Neally, Justin (Makenzie) Neally, Ethan (Holland) Neally, Joshua (Jamie) Neally, Jacob (Brittany) Neally, Jared Neally, Olivia (Jon) Herkert, Tyler( Elizabeth) Neally, Tarah (Brock) Moshier, Lindsey (Devon) Bell, Kayla (Patrick) Haigh. A very special Aunt Dorothy Mowrer many close friends, great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
