Keith A. Martens, 72, of Dallas City, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 1,
2021, at 4:32 P.M.
Keith was born June 14, 1949, the son of Raymond and Wilma (Wachtendorf)
Martens in Keokuk, Iowa. He attended Carthage High School graduating in 1966.
He had worked driving grain trucks, later at the Iowa State Penitentiary and most
recently at Industrial Tools. Keith loved motorcycles and was a member of
ABATE. He also enjoyed playing pool.
Keith is survived by children, Nicole King of Alexandria, Missouri, Mike Monnier of
Burlington, Iowa, Eric Monnier and Lacy Samuels of Kentucky; several
grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol (Allen) Shay of Carthage
and Leona Mapes of Ferris; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Minnie Martens and John
and Hanna Wachtendorf; his parents; and a brother-in-law, Dick Mapes.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Printy Funeral Home of
Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
