Shirley (Hill) Waddell, 79, of Carthage, passed away on December 7, 2020, at 5:45 pm at Hickory Grove in Carthage. 

Shirley was born on October 26, 1941, in Plymouth, Illinois, the daughter of Ray and Mabel (Nelson) Hill. She was united in marriage to John Waddell on May 21, 1959. Shirley is survived by five daughters and two sons: Donna (Bob) Harmon of Hamilton, Debbie Murray of Warsaw, Lori Waddell of Burnside, Dawn (Matt) Leroy of Hamilton, John (Judy) Waddell of Kahoka, Missouri, Darwin Waddell of Burnside, and Crystal (Shirley is preceded in death by her husband John Waddell on June 9, 2000, her parents, her brother and a nephew.

According to her wishes, no services will be held at this time.

Memorials may be directed to Lee County Hospice or Hickory Grove.
